Academic Activites

 

ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES:  

Academic activities are conducted as per Annual Calendar of activities/institutional plan(Results Board & Non Board Classes, Stream subject taught etc). Institutional plan is a guide to the activities to be carried out during an academic year. Institutional plan helps the head of the institution and the faculty members to prepare our plan quite ahead the hands operation for the work to be trained out effectively. The following students have achieved the Academic Excellence in Class X and XII:

CCA
Our endeavour is to bring a wide range of activities in CCA for the young inquisitive minds. An ignited mind is the most powerful resource on the earth. A variety of programme like debates, pick and speak, essay writing in all the three languages. Rangoli competition to promote creativity etc were organized. The overwhelming response that our children extends to these activities is the testimony of the capability of today’s young minds

Medical Department
We feel that “Health is Wealth” children are made aware of the importance of health. A general medical camp was conducted in our school by Public Center , Urdigere. Many doctors came and even blood check-ups were conducted in the school.
Language Clubs
To promote all the three language learning various programme are being conducted. In academic block all the teachers were urged to speak only in English. Debates , quiz, essay writing competitions are being conducted for the effective learning
Celebrations
Festivals are very significant . It is a time to share love, affection , care and concern. To enrich and mould the young minds on the culture and heritage of our great nation. Festivals have immense relevance at JNV , Tumkur . All House masters and mistress celebrate festivals with their house students.

Scouts and Guides
Various activities were conducted to promote scouting and guides. It also ensures the willingness of students to come forward to work for the betterment of school and our own country. Some activities conducted were scouts weeking programme, community works, sramdhan , flag day stamps sale etc were some.

VI class admission
A whole lot of new faces were introduced into the campus in the month of November. Proper distribution was made of thestudents in different house system. The students are cheerful, bright and active

Talents day
To expose and to give ample opportunity to the new faces viz 6 th class students , lateral entry students and migrated students Talents Day was organized where children came up with latent talents

Hindi Pakwada
To promote “Rastra Bhasha from sept 14 th to sept 28 th Hindi Pakwada was organized. Various literary activities in Hindi were organized to instill intrest in Hindi among the Kannada speaking students. The Hindi teachers took the initiative to make the children write the Hindi Exams conducted by Mysore Hindi Prachara Sabha which was held on Sept 10 th to 12 th
 
Alumni Meet
To keep the warmth of relationships NVS has proposed December first Sunday as “Alumni Day” The students those who have benefitted and has soared high in achievements turned out much to the happiness of teachers
Book Week
To lure the young generation which is glued to internet back to books and to ensure the importance of books and its prominence among young minds Book Week was celebrated. Children were motivated to read some of the famous books and to talk about it.
 
English Debate
Debate was organized by the English dept on the topic “English colonial rule was a bane or boon” for the motion and against motion. Students participated with great zeal .They also communicated on patriotism.
Deputation
Shri. B.V. Chandrashekaran PGT Maths was deputed for special coaching to JNV Middle Andaman to motivate inspire and to encourage the students of 12 th class.

Sports Day
“A sound mind in a sound body” , “Health is Wealth” keeping in mind these resounding lines “Sports Day “ was conducted on 30-12-15. An array of events were arranged to cater to the needs of individuals.
Trainings
            IT was indeed refreshing for the teachers who were called for various training programme namely CCE Training, Maths Laboratory, House mistress training, Workshop on communication skills, Personality development training,   Language lab training, Skill test training workshop for PGT maths. All were benefitted as it was enriching and empowering.
